Kids Voting Colorado participated in the second annual Kids Voting USA Student Advisory Panel poster contest this Fall.  Kindergarten through 12th grade students were involved.  Student artists submitted poster artwork that reflects the theme "My Vote Gives Me Power

 

The following winners were announced on October 21, 2005.  The entries of these winners were sent on to the Kids Voting USA national poster contest.  National winners will be announced on Dec. 5, 2005.

 

National winning posters will be featured on the Kids Voting USA web site, and will adorn Kids Voting USA merchandise.

 

First Place Winner - High School Division

a Junior at George Washington High School in Denver.

 

First Place Winner - Middle School Division

an 8th grade student at Emerson Street School in Denver.

 

 

First Place Winner - Elementary School Division

Additional winners included:  Jeremy Sanders, a Senior at George Washington High School, Denver (Second Place, High School Division); Eric Rodriguez, a Sophomore at Manual High Leadership School, Denver (Third Place, High School Division); Victor Dominguez, an 8th grade student at Emerson Street School, Denver (Second Place, Middle School Division); Lawrence Pham, an 8th grade student at Martin Luther King Junior High, Denver (Third Place, Middle School Division); Gabriel Mendoza, a 3rd grade student at Castro Elementary, Denver (Second Place, Elementary School Division); and Rebecca Joy Gubrun, a 2nd grade student at Ellis Elementary, Denver (Third Place - Elementary School Division).
 
All nine winning posters were submitted to the Kids Voting USA national contest.
